Alexander Gemignani is an actor, composer/ lyricist, musical director, orchestrator, educator, and artistic director. He is currently the music director for the Broadway revival of West Side Story, and recently served as musical director and orchestrator for Fiasco Theatre’s production of Merrily We Roll Along. Selected Broadway acting credits include: My Fair Lady, Rogers and Hammerstein’s Carousel, (for which he received Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Grammy Nominations), Les Misérables, Sweeney Todd, and Assasins. Gemignani has been a guest artist and faculty member at University of Michigan, Texas State University, and NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
