The Equalizer 3 premiered on September 1st 2023, and has continued to dominate the box
office since its release. The film starring Denzel Washington, was scored by adjunct faculty member Marcelo Zarvos who is assisted by alumni Greg Polzak (MM `11), Simon Li (MM `22) and Jackie Andresen (BM `23).
Directed by esteemed filmmaker and frequent collaborator for Zarvos, Antoine Fuqua, the film is
the 3rd in its decade-long franchise. The two have previously collaborated on narrative features, including last year’s Emancipation (2022), The Guilty (2021), Brooklyn’s Finest (2010), and documentaries Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers (2022) and What’s My Name: Muhammad Ali (2019).
