Vancouver International Film Festival’s inaugural Composer Filmmaker Accelerator (CFA) program was created to advance the dialogue and collaboration between composers and filmmakers. Curated by three-time Emmy nomination, award winning film and television composer Miriam Cutler CFA gives 12 talented, emerging film composers an opportunity to take their careers to the next level by recording and performing their original score with a world-class orchestra.
This year, three NYU Screen Scoring alumni Gabriella Hirsh (MM 2023), Madison Anglin (MM 2023) and Elizabeth Phillipson-Weiner (MM 2021) were selected for the prestigious opportunity. Previous guests of the workshop include award winning film and concert composer Michael Abels (Nope, Us, Get Out), and many more.
