NYU Screen Scoring alumna Herdís Stefánsdóttir (MM `16) has been nominated for the 2023 Discovery of the Year Award at the World Soundtrack Awards. The Discovery of the Year Award winner is voted on by the Advisory and Executive board of the World Soundtrack Awards. It showcases up-and-coming talent in the world of film music. Recently, Stefánsdóttir stood out for her gripping score to M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin (2023).
