Dr. Richard Maloney, Performing Arts Administration program director, participated in a conversation with Victoria Jones, executive vice president and fundraising practice leader at Development Guild DDI entitled "Arts Administration, Reflections of an Expanding Field," at The Makery, a design lab and co-working space in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Maloney and Jones discussed how arts administrators can prepare themselves for career growth and be better prepared to successfully meet the needs of the industry.
They shared new trends and examined the current profile of leadership talent sought by art organizations and the creative industry. The event was sponsored by the Arts Administration Association New England, a professional development and networking organization founded by Claudia Fiks. Members of the audience were invited to participate in the open conversation and were able to engage in networking opportunities following the conversation.
