Performing for You, For Me, For You opened in the Project Space of the 80WSE Gallery this January, and showcased artwork by three BFA students—Mahira Naznin, Emily Mogami, and simone madison hunter—that tackled themes of presentation, identity, and self-perception. The show was designed and produced by Visual Arts Administration MA students in the Curatorial Practice course.

Led by instructor Monika Fabijanska, VAA students explored historical approaches and practical responsibilities of curating and exhibiting contemporary art. The resulting show offered an opportunity for master’s and undergraduate students in the Department of Art and Art Professions to collaborate creatively and professionally, both behind the scenes and in the gallery space.

Performing for You, For Me, For You offered public programming, including a panel discussion with the artists, walkthroughs, and an exhibition essay, and concluded on January 26th with a reception and performance by participating artist Emily Mogami.
