The Cincinnati Symphony has invited Julia Wolfe to be the inaugural Festival Director of the 2024 May Festival. Concerts will feature the world premiere of Wolfe's All that breathes, a new choral fanfare commissioned by the Festival, alongside her major compositions Her Story, Pretty and Anthracite Fields; plus works by her longtime collaborators and Bang on a Can co-founders Michael Gordon and David Lang, as well as treasured works from the repertoire.
