BFA Thesis Project:
Birds, Sky in Places, and Homes Away From Home
Alice Ningci Jiang

February 18–20, 2026
Rosenberg Gallery
Barney Building, 34 Stuyvesant St.

On view and open to the public on Wednesday, February 18, 5-7PM.
On view to members of the NYU community and sponsored visitors from February 18–20.

The show explores the state of growing and moving away from tradition. By reinterpreting Chinese ink drawings, the works use tradition as a generative starting point of experiment and play. Through reinterpretation and experiment, humor seeps through the gaps between worlds. In the process of translating and transmuting cultures and traditions, the works arrive at and take root in other homes, those away from home.
