On May 10th, New York Times cultural critic Ted Loos reviewed Trading Beauty written by Valentina Castellani (Adjunct Faculty). He commended the book for "tackling the entire record of art-for-money transactions of the (mostly) Western world" and for its attention to "women who have mattered as forces in the market yet who have not always gotten enough ink ..."

Cali Kurlan (BFA Alum)'s paper, “From Archives as Digital Displays to Digital Display as Archive: Accessibility, Visibility, and the Material Transformation of Pre-Digital Art in the Networked Era,” has been accepted for presentation at ISEA2026. This selection followed a peer-reviewed process from thousands of international submissions.

Thomas Sendgraff (VAA Alum) has published the anti-award-winning graphic novel Artists Who Don't Cry in Convertibles. An engaging, humorous, and satirical story, it also serves as a learning resource for readers of all levels to experience the process of curating an art show.
