BFA Senior Honors Studio: The Magician's Choice on view until May 17, 2026.

The Magician's Choice is a group exhibition curated by 80WSE Director, Howie Chen, and features the artwork of nine BFA Studio Art Majors in the final year of their undergraduate studies at the New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development’s Department of Art & Art Professions.

Virtual Event: VAA & PAA Bites & Insights in London on April 20, 2026.

Steinhardt Alumni Relations is currently hosting "Bites & Insights", a student-alumni conversation series hosted by the Student to Alumni Initiatives (SAI) Committee. The SAI Committee is a group of current Steinhardt students dedicated to building stronger connections between students and alumni through meaningful programs and engagement.

Visual Arts Administration Colloquium: Spaces of Encounter on April 24, 2026.

Panelists will engage in a discussion highlighting the politics of space in the built environment. The discussion is moderated by Spaces of Encounter exhibition curator and NYU Steinhardt Visual Arts Administration MA graduate Alyse Tucker. It features arts & culture ambassador, urban planner and PhD candidate Danicia M. Malone, interdisciplinary artist and NYU clinical professor Curry J Hackett, and Director and Curator of Exhibitions and Public Programming at Temple Contemporary gallery Dr. Matthew Kenyatta. The discussion will take place at 4pm in the Einstein Auditorium in the Barney Building.

Anna-Michelle Roux (VAA Alum) has curated an ambitious exhibition for Southern Guild Gallery in Cape Town, South Africa about the legacy of Surrealism in the country, past and current. The Poets Are Working is part of the gallery's mission to foster collaboration, cultural memory, and progressive futures.

Open Call: Xingzi Gu (MFA Alum) is organizing an exhibition titled slipknots, exploring the tension between intimacy and circulation, softness and constraint, and private expression and public visibility within feminist print culture and independent publishing. slipknots is collecting submissions from artists and writers across all disciplines.
