BFA Senior Honors Studio: The Magician's Choice on view until May 17, 2026.

The Magician's Choice is a group exhibition curated by 80WSE Director, Howie Chen, and features the artwork of nine BFA Studio Art Majors in the final year of their undergraduate studies at the New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development’s Department of Art & Art Professions.

Steinhardt Alumni Relations is currently hosting "Bites & Insights", a student-alumni conversation series hosted by the Student to Alumni Initiatives (SAI) Committee. The SAI Committee is a group of current Steinhardt students dedicated to building stronger connections between students and alumni through meaningful programs and engagement.

Visual Arts Administration Colloquium: Spaces of Encounter on April 24, 2026.

Panelists will engage in a discussion highlighting the politics of space in the built environment. The discussion is moderated by Spaces of Encounter exhibition curator and NYU Steinhardt Visual Arts Administration MA graduate Alyse Tucker. It features arts & culture ambassador, urban planner and PhD candidate Danicia M. Malone, interdisciplinary artist and NYU clinical professor Curry J Hackett, and Director and Curator of Exhibitions and Public Programming at Temple Contemporary gallery Dr. Matthew Kenyatta. The discussion will take place at 4pm in the Einstein Auditorium.

The NYU Steinhardt Graduate Art Therapy Program proudly announces the presentation of Master’s Theses for the Class of 2026.

Art and Art Professions course Ceramics for Non-Majors was featured by NYU News. The studio art class is popular with science majors who crave an artistic outlet to balance their studies.

Martha Schwendener's (Adjunct Faculty) new book The Society of the Screen: Vilém Flusser's Radical Prescience was recently published by MIT Press. Schwendener will be speaking at a series of events in celebration of the book's release. On April 23rd, Schwendener will join Electronic Arts Intermix's Executive Director Rebecca Cleman for a conversation about Flusser's interest in video. On April 30th, Emmelines will host a book launch event. On May 6th, artist Lucas Blalock will join Schwendener for a book talk at The Brooklyn Rail.
