Art Therapy Exhibition: Glimmers on view until February 8, 2026.

A small works art show featuring Art Therapy students. In polyvagal theory, "glimmers" are small moments that signal safety and connection to the nervous system.

Visual Arts Administration Exhibition: S.U.D.S – Student Unity and Discovery Showcase | Art Fair on view until February 8, 2026.

S.U.D.S is a student art fair organized by Other Content and Art Business Society which was created to serve as a platform for emerging BFA and MFA artists and makers at NYU, nurturing a sense of unity and discovery among artists and art enthusiasts alike.

DIY Grrrl: Constructing, Disrupting, and Reclaiming Girlhood in the 1990s examines how young women and girls in the last decade of the 20th century confronted dominant social expectations and redefined ideas of femininity through handcraft, community building, and a Do-It-Yourself approach.

Department News & Announcements

Mark Johnson (Printmaking Studio Manager) was recently interviewed on the art history podcast Platemark and spoke about his experiences working with Krishna Reddy, a master in simultaneous color printing (viscosity printing). The podcast episode touches on Johnson's own journey, the influence of Reddy's teachings on his career, and the continuing relevance of Reddy's techniques in contemporary printmaking.

Thomas Sendgraff (VAA) is seeking artists who specialize in community or socially engaged practices to feature in his final thesis project. Thomas is looking for projects where the art-making space became collaborative and served as the medium itself.

Natalie Nudell (Costume Studies Alum) is awarded the 2026 Vilcek Prize Creative Promise in Fashion & Culture. Nudell built the Fashion Calendar Research Database to showcase how underrepresented communities are integral to the industry.
