The NYU Contemporary Music Ensemble presents an evening of landmark and new works for mixed ensemble, featuring music by four of today’s most distinctive compositional voices. The program opens with The Visitor by adjunct faculty member Paul Frucht, followed by Erase by percussionist-composer Andy Akiho and Doublespeak by Nico Muhly. The centerpiece of the evening is Singing in the Dead of Night by Julia Wolfe, faculty member and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer. Together, these four works offer a portrait of contemporary composition at its most vital.

Admission is free. Registration is required.
