Barney Building facilities include studio classrooms and workshops for sculpture, printmaking, painting, drawing, ceramics, metalsmithing, and sewing. In addition, the building has photography labs and computer studios.
Studio Art fees provide for the following:
- Individualized studio art supply kits (in select studio art courses)
- Supplies, tools, and equipment for the studio art facilities
- Studio equipment upgrades and repairs
- Health & safety training, equipment, and services
- Student lab employee technology and monitor support
- A fully-stocked darkroom cage with an equipment borrowing program.
- Support for the computer and design studios, including computers, software, printers, ink, vinyl, and limited amounts of paper.
- Support for supplies in the fabrication lab, including 3D printers, laser printers, and vinyl cutters.
Please note that fees for our studio programs and courses may also be applied towards honoraria for guest artists and speakers, student exhibition expenses (including a P/T preparator), student awards and prizes, art student publications, visiting artist lectures, and studio visits by local artists.
