This month, our Executive Director, Dr. David E. Kirkland represented NYU Metro Center as a speaker at a number of conferences, events and presentations. 

• He delivered a keynote address to the Professional Learning Partnership Initiative, speaking on Culturally Responsive Sustaining School Openings. 
• He featured as a speaker at NYU AMC's Brave Conversation series event on Black Lives Matter. 
• He gave remarks at a Connecticut school district teach-in event, where he shared his thoughts on making ER9 antiracist
• He gave a keynote presentation to the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program of UCLA, in which he addressed reframing equity work for different audiences.
• He gave a keynote address to the CCS RPN July 2020 Virtual Convening
• He gave remarks at the Efficacy and Enactment Convening
• He featured as a keynote for the National Charter Collaborative, as a part of their Radical Restart initiative.
