A former student of Metro's College Prep Academy Program (CPA), Colleen O’Brien recently co-authored a new article, “A Study of Social Media Utilization by Individuals with Tinnitus”. Colleen was a Metro CPA student during her junior year of highschool. She completed her undergraduate career at St. Johns University and is also a current graduate student at St. Johns.

She continues to work part time with Metro's CPA assisting with scheduling, student orientation and advisement to parent workshops and data collections. In addition to her new publication, she has been selected for a doctoral clinical residencey at NYU Cochlear Implant Center. "We applaude Colleen for her consistent achievement and current success in her doctorate studies!", states CPA Director Patricia Ryan-Canedo.
