On September 8, Research Alliance Research Associate Dr. Zitsi Mirakhur will participate in the University of Kentucky College of Education’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Symposium.
Dr. Mirakhur will join other scholars from universities around the U.S. to discuss research on a range of important issues in education. She will present on her dissertation research, which examined the association between peer homophily (i.e., the sharing of demographic features among friends) and high school students’ trajectories to college, as well as her more recent research on equity, access, and diversity in New York City Schools.
