Research Alliance affiliates are partners who collaborate with us across projects to extend our research capacity and strengthen the relevance, rigor, and impact of the evidence available to New York City education stakeholders.
Our affiliates bring expertise from a range of disciplines, professional backgrounds, and institutions. Through these partnerships, we are able to deepen our understanding of complex educational issues, expand the perspectives represented in our work, and undertake a broader portfolio of high-quality research. Affiliates may contribute to study design, data collection and analysis, interpretation of findings, stakeholder engagement, and the communication of research.
We seek to work with affiliates whose expertise and values align with the Research Alliance’s mission and core organizational principles, including:
- High standards of scientific rigor;
- Relevance to the real needs of NYC students, schools and policymakers;
- A commitment to independence and nonpartisanship;

- A focus on New York City (or multi-city studies that include NYC).
