Dr. Cheri Fancsali Moderates National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Webinar

This Wednesday, June 9th at 3pm, Deputy Director Cheri Fancsali is moderating the Webinar on Engaging Policymakers in Cultivating Interest and Competencies in Computing, hosted by The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. This event is the first in a series of webinars based on the recently released report Cultivating Interest and Competencies in Computing: Authentic Experiences and Design Factors. The webinar will walk through relevant policies and explore what policymakers can do to ensure that all learners have opportunities to develop interest in computing. 

Dr. Fancsali will be joined by a group of panelists including: 

  • Christy Crawford, Director of Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education, NYC Department of Education
  • Leigh Ann DeLyser, Co-Founder and Executive Director, CSforALL
  • Lien Diaz, Director, Educational Innovation and Leadership, Constellations Center for Equity in Computing at Georgia Tech
  • Sonia Koshy, Senior Director of Evaluation and Research, Kapor Center
