NYU Metro Center’s 2024 Equity Conference - Equity Now: 70 Years After Brown Vs. Board

Professional Black woman holding microphone
9 am - 4 pm ET
0 - $200
New York University’s Kimmel Center for University Life
60 Washington Square South, New York, NY 10012

The historic moment, the 70th anniversary of SCOTUS’ landmark decision in Brown Vs. Board, reminds us what it means to fight for equity on behalf of our Black, Indigenous, and Latinx children, students with disabilities and multilingual learners who still have not received equality nor equity in their educational experiences. As such, the only way we will fulfill the hope of Brown vs. Board is to prioritize, organize, push for equity and take action now!

This convening will offer educators, parents/caregivers, youth, community organizers, and technical assistance providers a full day of learning to engage sustainable district and school-based equity practices that center efforts to get to equity and liberatory education practices.
