Education in New York Summit. Shaping Tomorrow's Schools Through Innovation. August 14, 2025, at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, hosted by City & State New York. 

On August 14, a diverse group of education stakeholders will gather at City & State NY’s Education in New York Summit to discuss critical issues facing New York’s public schools. The program includes a strong lineup of speakers, including:

  • Melissa Aviles-Ramos, Chancellor of New York City Public Schools; 

  • Dr. Betty A. Rosa, Commissioner & President of the New York State Department of Education; 

  • Michael Mulgrew, President of the United Federation of Teachers; 

  • NYC Council Member Rita Joseph, Chair of the Committee on Education; 

  • NYS Senator John C. Liu, Chairman of the New York City Education Committee; 

  • Dr. Alaina Harper, Executive Director of One Goal; 

  • Christina Foti, Deputy Chancellor of the NYCPS Division of Inclusive and Accessible Learning;
