Leading with a Liberatory Approach to Improvement
Most change processes start with the solution in mind while ignoring opportunities to understand problems and the systems that hold them in place. We will identify and explore liberatory concepts and practices for complex systems improvement. Designed for school and district teams, the learning objectives include the following. 1) Reconceptualize challenges and problems of practice in your context, 2) Demystify strategies for defining and understanding “equity” within your educational context, and 3) Identify tools and resources for shifting the conditions that facilitate inequities.
