Elevating Coherence: Strategies for an Authentic Welcoming, Affirming, and Healing Learning Environment (Room 906)

Discover the importance of  how a clearly articulated vision and aligned strategies can create learning environments that honor the unique needs and voices of all students. This session focuses on practical ways to foster welcoming and affirming spaces that enhance belonging and engagement for students and adults from diverse backgrounds. Participants will explore how personal beliefs, meaningful conversations, and student involvement contribute to creating positive, impactful educational experiences. The objectives of the session are 1) understand how clarity and alignment in vision, policies, and practices improve school climate; 2) reflect on how individual perspectives shape and influence decision-making; 3) learn ways to authentically incorporate student input in school planning and leadership. Participants will take away strategies for cultivating authentic inclusive learning environments, tools to foster policy and practice cohesion to ensure alignment between vision, mission, and values, resources to support collaborative, solution-oriented conversations. A self-reflection guide for policy and practice alignment and plan for creating unified, inclusive school strategies will be offered.
