I Hear You: Effective Listening As Essential to Liberatory Education

Far too often, strategies to incorporate equitable practices fail to gain traction in schools and never reach the phase of full implementation. This session highlights an approach that schools can use to  build sustainability around their equity work through centering the practice of listening for understanding, with empathy and care. Together, participants will explore the heart of building an effective listening practice and consider how to leverage deep listening to build schools that truly center student voice.
