Decolonizing SEL Practices In The Classroom

The objective of the presentation is to explore the question “How can we move towards using SEL to dismantle systems of oppressions in our schools so that we may have hallways and classrooms filled with joy and peace? The workshop will include identifying characteristics of White Supremacy in current SEL practices and learning to create culturally affirming activities that can show up in any classroom for any subject.
