Art and Embodiment as Antiracist Pedagogy

Affective responses to art make room for curiosity, which alerts a desire for understanding. This presentation will explore how affective responses to art can act as a vehicle for antiracist pedagogy. Arts-informed practices provide opportunities to generate embodied reactions that, when acknowledged, can reveal expansive knowledge pathways- these internal charges have the power to teach us about the self and others.
