The Research Alliance is thrilled to present at the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness (SREE) Spring 2019 Spring Conference on March 6-9.
Researchers from around the country will gather in Washington, D.C. to focus on this year’s theme, “Tensions and Tradeoffs: Responding to Diverse Demands for Evidence.” Several members of the Research Alliance team will participate in various panels and presentations, including:
- Lisa Merrill, who will build on our collaboration with the Student Success Network to participate in a paper session called Contexts That Support Social and Emotional Well-Being: New Evidence from Randomized Trials (Thursday, March 7 at 10:15am), and a symposium focused on Advancing Social and Emotional Learning in Educational Settings with Research-Practice Partnerships (Thursday, March 7 at 1:15pm); and
- Jim Kemple, who will serve on a panel called Balancing Competing Priorities in Designing and Conducting School-Based Research (Saturday, March 9 at 8:30am). Dr. Kemple will also share preliminary findings from our study of Career Technical Education in NYC in a symposium, “Emerging Causal Evidence on Career and Technical Education Program Impacts and Measuring the Factors That Support Their Effectiveness” (Friday, March 8 at 4:15pm).
