#DegreesNYC published a new report, Changing the Odds, on January 17th. The report builds on data analysis provided by the Research Alliance and highlights deep inequities in New York City's college pathways. Beginning in 2018, #DegreesNYC engaged educators, community-based staff, administrators, students, and researchers in an exercise to identify the key indicators that we could measure to know whether young people are on a path to success. Authored by #DegreesNYC staff and youth leaders, the new report offers analyses and reflections focused on five key indicators: students being on track at the end of the 9th grade, their 12th grade cumulative GPA, college enrollment, college persistence (through the first year), and college completion.
