Aimed at doctoral and early-career researchers in education and other social sciences, this conference will explore career pathways beyond traditional academic settings. Speakers from multiple sectors–including state and local government, nonprofits, foundations, and industry–will share their experiences applying the skills gained in research PhD programs to the challenges and opportunities of their sectors. Attendees will learn how to transition to and thrive in these careers. The format will include two 45-minute panels, followed by two rounds of networking roundtables where each speaker will be joined by a group of attendees.
