About

Expanding Access to Quality Education in Afghanistan

The Expanding Access to Quality Education in Afghanistan research project, led by New York University (NYU) in collaboration with Lapis Communication, aimed to address significant educational challenges in Afghanistan. The project focused on increasing access to science and math educational broadcasts for adolescent children, particularly girls, who may be unable to attend formal schools due to the current restrictions in the country. This project evaluates the effectiveness of strategies based on broadcast media, such as television and radio, to deliver educational content to Afghan children, thereby expanding access to quality education under some of the most challenging circumstances in the world.
