PRIISM, the Center for Practice and Research at the Intersection of Information, Society, and Methodology, is an interdisciplinary center that builds capacity for researchers within academia and beyond to collect data, build inferential models and predictive algorithms, and communicate findings in impactful and socially responsible ways.
The center is codirected by Drs. Jennifer Hill and Marc Scott, Professors of Applied Statistics, and affiliated with the Department of Applied Statistics, Social Science, and Humanities.

Meet the TeamPRIISM is a multi-layered entity that encompasses a broad set of activities and programs:
Leading and collaborating on externally funded research projects. These range from projects that develop new statistical methods to those that apply innovative methods to rigorously address pressing questions in the social, behavioral, health and policy sciences. These research efforts are organized into initiatives.
Hosting a seminar series of invited speakers, covering topics from innovative applications of statistics, to statistical methodology, to discussions about how data interacts with and influences society.
Organizing and sponsoring workshops and conferences that bring together experts to share current methodological or empirical research.
