Algorithms, Data, and Public Policy Technology Lab

United States Supreme Court Building

The NYU Algorithms, Data, and Public Policy Technology (ADAPPT) Lab aims to use technology to help government address urgent challenges. The lab devises new approaches in generative AI, machine learning, and statistics. They then integrate these methods into software they deploy with public sector partners.

The lab is led by director and founder, Dr. Alex Chohlas-Wood and co-director, Ravi Shroff. Recent projects include “Race-blind charging” and “Tackling the digital evidence explosion”.
