A study conducted by Dr. Daphna Harel and colleagues is the first to externally validate the results of shortening a patient reported outcome measure through optimal test assembly. In the manuscript “External Validation of a Shortened Screening Tool Using Individual Participant Data Meta Analysis: a Case Study of the Patient Health Questionnaire-Dep-4. Methods”, Dr. Harel and colleagues use data from the DEPRESSD group consisting of 34,698 participants to assess and confirm the results of a previous study on the development of the Patient Health Questionnaire-4.
