The Journal on Education in Emergencies (JEiE), led by Dr. Dana Burde, Editor-in-Chief; Dr. Heddy Lahmann, Senior Managing Editor; and Nathan Thompson, Deputy Managing Editor, was awarded a 100,000 Euro grant from the Porticus Foundation in fall 2020 for a special issue on Education in Emergencies and Pandemics. JEiE is accepting abstracts for review in both English and French! The deadline for the call for papers is May 17, 2021.
JEiE has also recently published a special issue on Education and the War on Drugs, as well as a new edition of our Podcast, Behind the Pages.
JEiE is based at NYU's International Education Program in partnership with the Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) and co-hosted by PRIISM and the department of Applied Statistics, Social Science, and Humanities (ASH).
