Join the Center for Policy, Research and Evaluation (PRE) at NYU Metro Center and Research Alliance for New York City Schools for a webinar highlighting key findings from the NYC Partnership for Math Equity research study.
Funded by the Gates Foundation, this two-year mixed-methods study examined how middle grades teachers in 29 NYC schools used supplemental digital math lessons to support equitable access to high-quality math instruction and foster belonging, engagement, and positive math identities.
In this webinar, researchers will share findings on how teachers and students engaged with the lessons, how specific platform features related to students’ understanding and enjoyment of content, and how teachers used evidence-based instructional practices, including facilitating discourse around students’ math thinking. We will also share reflections on using digital platform data in mixed-methods research.
The webinar includes PRE Principal Research Associate Sara McAlister, NYU Research Alliance Director Cheri Fancsali, Research Analyst John Sludden, Research Associate Xia Li.
