Teaching and Teachers

“The task of the modern educator is not to cut down jungles but to irrigate deserts.”
- C.S.Lewis

Teachers matter! The evolutionary nature of our students' learning demands that teachers are afforded the opportunity to engage in continuous cycles of learning. While many of our teaching colleagues have a wealth of experience, that experience must always be positioned within the ever-changing landscape of our environments, communities, and cultures. In phrase teacher work requires imagination, innovation, reflection, inquiry, exploration, life-long learning, and ongoing professional development.
