The Racial Equity Peer Learning and Inquiry Community, funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, represents a partnership between the Center for Policy, Research, and Evaluation and four parent leadership and organizing groups. The overarching question is: How can parent leadership and organizing groups build power in low-wealth communities of color?

Partner organizations include:

  • Parents for Public Schools
  • Parent Leadership Training Institute of Greater Rochester, NY (part of the National Parent Leadership Institute)
  • Organizers in the Land of Enchantment
  • Washington State Association of Head Start & ECEAP Parent Ambassadors

Our team supports each of these organizations to develop racial equity indicators and to self-evaluate their progress on these indicators. The project is also supported by the Parent Organizing Technical Assistance Project. This work represents an ongoing partnership that began with the Parent Leadership Indicators Project.
