Kristie Koenig, principal investigator and lead occupational therapy consultant for the ASD Nest Support Project, discussed self-regulation and sensory processing, how they relate to students on the autism spectrum. She outlined calming and alterting strategies used by occupational therapists working in the Nest program, and provided tips for parents to incorporate these strategies at home.
