The Center for Counseling and Community Wellbeing collects data on the client’s progress in order to gain a better understanding of how different individuals respond to therapy. As a client, you may be asked to participate in the Services Outcomes Project (SOP). Participation in this research is entirely voluntary and individual responses are kept entirely confidential. Participation involves filling out a series of surveys once every month.
In addition, there may be different research projects that are led by faculty in the Department of Applied Psychology. Our therapists will inform you of such projects should they be applicable to you. If you choose to volunteer for a research project, you will be asked to provide consent to participate. Participation in research projects is entirely voluntary and is not required.
