NYS Statewide Language Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network

Welcome to the NYS Statewide Language RBERN website!

We are here to serve educators, parents, and families of English Language Learners (ELL) and world Language students with a wide-range of information and resources, including professional development offerings for educators and workshops for parent and families in multiple languages. To make our resources easier to locate, we now clustered them into the four groups below.

The “Resources for Educators of ELLs and World Language Students” group will include professional development offerings for educators (previously "Events”) and “Translations and Interpretation Guidance”, along with other educator resources categorized for your convenience. The “Resources for Families and Students” group will now include parent, family and student workshops (previously “Events”), along with other translated parent-facing resources similarly categorized.

The “Bilingual Glossaries and Cognates” will continue to remain as its own separate group. Also remaining as a separate group is our “NYS Parent English Language Learner Hotline” developed to respond to inquiries from New York State’s non-English speaking parents and families regarding their rights and the rights of their children, and to receive complaints of discrimination, bullying, and harassment.

Since our online resources and events are continuously updated, we encourage you to visit us often to see what new items have been added.

For additional information, please feel free to contact us at nyslanguagerbern@gmail.com.
