In the ASD Nest Support Project, we believe strongly that parents and professionals should learn from the real experts: people on the autism spectrum themselves. In this workshop, families heard from several autistic self-advocates about their experiences. Topics include:
- learning about their diagnosis
- family dynamics and support
- their school experience
- special interest areas
- autism in the media
