Welcome to the NYS Statewide Language RBERN website!

We are here to serve educators, parents, and families of English Language Learners (ELL) and world Language students with information and resources. To support educators, we offer a wide range of professional development opportunities, and for parents and families we offer workshops in multiple languages. Please click on the “Events” tab at the top of this page to see these offerings.

We encourage you to review our robust compilation of guides, instructional materials and resources for English Language Learners and world language students, and resources for parents and families that are translated into multiple languages. Since our online resources and events are continuously updated, please feel free to visit often to see what has been added. Please click on the “Resources” tab at the top of this page to see these offerings.

Lastly, we host the NYS Parent Hotline to respond to inquiries from New York State’s non-English speaking parents and families regarding their rights and the rights of their children. It also responds to inquiries regarding the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) which protects all students from discrimination, harassment, and bullying based on race, religion, gender, national origin, ethnic group, and sexual orientation. Please click on the “Parent Hotline” tab at the top of this page to access the Hotline.
