Who can be an author?
Authors can be writers or researchers from any academic background, degree program, or general field of study. You do not need to have been previously published in an academic journal to be considered for publication in our journal.
Authors do not need to be affiliated with New York University and while masters and doctoral students are encouraged to submit abstracts, authors do not need to currently be a student to submit. Submitted abstracts should be no longer than 250 words and provide an overview of the proposed manuscript. Abstracts should demonstrate the article's relevance to higher education or student affairs topics as well as give insight into the author’s interest in the proposed topic.
What happens after an abstract is submitted?
We will review all of the abstracts submitted and, through an evaluation process, will decide which abstracts to accept into our editing cycles. You will be notified whether or not your abstract is accepted. If your abstract is accepted, you will be invited to submit a draft of your manuscript.
What kind of manuscripts are published in the journal?
We accept a variety of manuscripts.
