Student Experience

MA, International Education

Students in the International Education program are passionate about international work, and New York City is the perfect backdrop to make meaningful contributions. On a typical day, you can find IE Master’s students engaging in their field-of-study through a number of different opportunities, both on- and off-campus. Students participate in engaging courses that incorporate guest speakers, hands-on projects, and site visits to locations like the Institute of International Education and the NYC United Nations Headquarters.

Outside of the classroom, you can find International Education Master's students working with refugees at the International Rescue Committee, creating intercultural exchanges at One To World, or helping undergraduates have the experience of a lifetime at the NYU Global Programs Office. Master’s students also engage with a number of professional experiences such as the International Education Student Board, the Journal on Education in Emergencies, Research opportunities, and more.

International Education Student Board

The International Education Student Board (IESB) is a board of International Education graduate students who are committed to creating both social and professional events for the International Education student body.
