Crystal A. Clarke

Associate Director, PACH

A doctoral candidate of social psychology at New York University, Crystal joins our team as the Associate Director of the Project for the Advancement of Our Common Humanity (PACH) at Metro Center. Her research explores how racial and ethnic identity orchestrates perceptions young men hold of the police. Funded by NYU's Institute of Human Development and Social Change, she and her interdisciplinary team of researchers work to further understand attitudes towards the police.

Prior to PACH, Crystal joined the faculty of SUNY's Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) as an adjunct professor of psychology where she explored the foundations of social psychology with a particular interest in race, identity and systems of privilege and oppression.
