Projects - Ammy Chau

Ammy Chau teaches Chinese at Millennium High School in Lower Manhattan. She currently teaches Mandarin I, II, and III.  Each class averages 20-30 students, with the majority non-heritage students.

Previously Ammy taught Chinese Native Language Arts at the Henry Street School for International Studies. She holds a master's degree in Teaching Chinese from NYU and New York State Certification in Teaching Chinese.

"Amazing Story for Chinese Characters" Project

In this group project, students create a children's story for simple Chinese characters they have already learned. The story is written in English with characters and illustrations. Guidelines, rubric and sample projects are available below.
