The Sony Audio Institute Scholarship is available to masters and advanced certificate students in NYU Steinhardt’s Music Business and Music Technology programs.
The scholarship is awarded based on financial need and academic merit, with a preference for students interested in a career or research in the audio industry.
The Sony Scholars will receive:
- A scholarship award ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 for the following semester
- The designation of "Sony Audio Institute Scholar"
- Eligibility to participate in the SAI Student Think Tank
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be an enrolled masters or advanced certificate student in Music Business or Music Technology at NYU Steinhardt
- Be in good standing with a minimum 3.50 GPA
- Demonstrate financial need
- Participation in extracurricular activities or music is strongly encouraged
- Scholarship funds will be allocated to the Spring 2026 semester and will be applied to bursar account
- Prior recipients of this award are not eligible to apply

- Upload current unofficial NYU Transcript or an unofficial copy of your undergraduate transcript if fall is your first semester at NYU Steinhardt
