Rangel Graduate Fellowship Program

The Rangel Graduate Fellowship is a U.S. Department of State program, administered by Howard University, that seeks to attract and prepare outstanding young people for careers as Foreign Service Officers in the U.S. Department of State. The Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Program is now accepting applications for the 2019 Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program at www.rangelprogram.org. The program encourages the application of members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, women and those with financial need.  Applicants with any undergraduate major are welcome to apply. Selected fellows will receive support for graduate school and will enter into exciting and rewarding careers representing the United States overseas,

Please make an appointment with either staff member at the time you submit your application.

Award: Up to $37,500 annually toward tuition, fees and living expenses for a two-year master’s degree in fields related to the Foreign Service such as Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, and International Relations at a U.S.-based institution.

Luce Scholars Information Session

The Luce Scholars Program is a prestigious fellowship that provides a stipend, language training and individualized professional placement in Asia for eleven months. At this event, you’ll hear from Li Ling, the Program Director of the Luce Scholars Program. He’ll offer an overview of the program, and give advice on particular eligibility requirements and the application process.  NYU is allowed to nominate three students for this award every year, and the deadline (September 10) is approaching. We encourage senior undergraduates, graduate students and recent alumni with outstanding leadership ability, but who have had limited exposure to Asia to apply. For application details, click here. Steinhardt’s Graduation Cruise – Monday, May 14

The Steinhardt Offices of Student Affairs and Alumni Relations invite the Class of 2018 graduates and their families to a sightseeing cruise to celebrate your graduation! Special recognition of our international students and first graduating class of online degree students will take place. This is a great event for families visiting for graduation and sightseeing, this cruise reveals the most magnificent landmarks of New York’s skyline on both the West Side and East Side of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty from close up, enhanced by the insightful narration of Circle Line’s world-famous tour guides!

The​ 2018 CAS​ Undergraduate​ Research Conference (URC)​​ ​will take​ ​place on Friday, May 4​!

With over three hundred presentations, the URC is a great opportunity to learn more about undergraduate research across the disciplines. If you’re planning on pursuing honors, this is a great opportunity to see the sort of research your peers are doing and what it will be like for you to present at the Conference next year.

Health Promotion Office – Communications Advisory Council

The Health Promotion Office is looking for undergraduate and graduate students to join their new Communications Advisory Council this coming fall.  The council will consult the Communications team on strategies to strengthen relationships among students, their campus, and their community. You’ll think through the design, voice, aesthetics, branding, and language of their print media, digital platform, social media and in-person events, including current initiatives such as ActionZone, Calm Corner, and Stressbusters.

They are looking for undergraduate or graduate students with a passion for communications, branding, design and social media. You’ve got ideas and enjoy brainstorming with others, supporting ideas, thinking deeply about social engagement and affecting real change.

Want more information or ready to join right away? They’re having an exploratory meeting on May 3rd from 6-7:30 in Room 358 at 726 Broadway. Regular sessions will start September 6th, meeting once per month from 6-7:30– Snacks provided!

State reporting requirements for compliance require NYU to report information on where students are completing non-classroom experiences (i.e. internships, externships, clinicals, etc.). If you are participating in a non-classroom experience, please follow the instructions below:

  • Log in to NYU CareerNet with your username and password, or register for a new account at https://nyu-csm.symplicity.com/students/.
  • Click your cursor on “My Account” and select “Career Outcomes.” If you are unable to select “Career Outcomes,” please contact the Wasserman Center in order activate this resource.
  • Select “Add New.” Please note that the “Add New” button will only be visible if you already have profile content included under the “Personal” and “Academic” tabs.
  • Fill out the required information regarding your placement and select “Submit.” In addition, a screenshot to accompany these instructions is below.
