Receive a Grant to Explore an Idea

Steinhardt Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and Masters Degree Students,

We are excited about the opportunity for you to engage in student research through the Student Research and Creative Project Grant which is open to all Steinhardt undergraduate and master’s students. Students may receive up to $1,000 to conduct a research study or creative project under the supervision of a faculty mentor. The proposed project may be conducted as independent study or to satisfy a capstone course requirement, such as an undergraduate honors thesis or a master’s final capstone project.

How to Apply

  1. Complete the online Application, including an abstract not longer than 250 words, which will be published if you’re awarded, and your research or creative project plan

  2. Submit your current CV or resume (1-2 pages)

  3. Submit a letter of support and commitment from your faculty mentor indicating their willingness to work with you in the completion of your work and whether your proposed project will need approval from UCAIHS. (Your faculty mentor must be an NYU Steinhardt faculty member).

Applications are due by March 15.
