We are pleased to announce the NYU Global Leadership Summit 2016: Taking Action on the European Refugee Crisis, which will take place in Prague fromMay 21 – 24, 2016. Please note that these dates are inclusive of travel time.
Designed and hosted by the NYU Leadership Initiative, NYU Global Programs, Global Spiritual Life at NYU and NYU Prague, the 2016 Summit will bring together 20 NYU students from across the University and global sites for a once in a lifetime learning experience.
Students will participate in peer-to-peer learning, examine a leadership framework rooted in collective work, and engage in experiential leadership development workshops. As part of the program, students will learn from theAssociation for Integration and Migration and work alongside human rights leaders to put their new skills to use on behalf of the migrant and refugee community in Prague.
In order to participate students must:
- Show leadership potential with a commitment to personal growth
- Have an interest in the European refugee crisis
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across difference
- Have sophomore or junior status for the Spring 2016 semester
- Have good academic and disciplinary standing
